First ever woman leader of City of York Council!

Councillor Claire Douglas (Labour) has become the first woman to lead the unified authority in York. Claire said “I want there to be a majority of women on the Executive, then women can feel confident that their voices are being listened to in York” Source: York Press 6 May 2023
